Guide
Up and running in 30 minutes
Everything to set up your business, roster your first week, and get your crew clocking in — plus a section to share with the crew themselves.
For business owners
Create your workspace
Hit Start free trial, name your business and pick your web address (like sparkle.yourcleaningcrew.app). You get 14 days free with everything unlocked — no card needed until you subscribe.
Make it yours
In Settings, upload your logo and pick your colours. Your crew's app, invite emails, and audit reports all take your branding automatically — your crew sees your business's name, not ours.
Add your sites
In Sites, add each place you clean. Type the address and hit Find pin to drop the map pin, then set the geofence radius (200 m suits most sites). Add access notes — lockbox codes, alarm details, bin nights — and a photo of the building so new crew recognise it. Attach a cleaning checklist to a site right from the same dialog.
Invite your team
In Team, enter each person's email and role. Cleaners see their shifts and clock in; supervisors also run audits and approve timesheets; admins control everything. Everyone gets a branded email invitation — they tap it, set a password, and they're in.
Build your roster
In Roster, hit Schedule cleaning. Pick the site, the days of the week, times, and who's on. Choose weekly, fortnightly or every 4 weeks and it rolls forward automatically — set it once and it's there every week. Leave a shift unassigned and mark it open for the crew to claim when you want volunteers. Click any shift to edit just that day or the whole series.
Run the week
The Dashboard shows today at a glance — who's on the clock, missed starts, claims waiting, and new work enquiries. The Time page collects everyone's hours with off-site and offline flags for anything worth a look; approve entries in bulk and export straight to a Xero-ready CSV for payroll.
Win more work
Your public booking link (on the dashboard) is a page where customers request one-off cleans — bond cleans, carpets, windows. Put it on your website and socials; requests land in your Inbox and you get a notification the moment one arrives.
For your crew
Share this with new team members — it's everything they need for day one.
Install the app
Open your invite email and set a password. Then tap Install in the app (or your account menu → Install the app) — a guided screen walks you through adding it to your home screen with your company's own icon, and turns on notifications so you hear about shifts and messages.
Clock in and out
Open the app when you arrive — the Today screen shows your shifts. Tap Clock in, work, tap Clock out when you're done (breaks have their own button). Allow location when asked: the app takes one GPS reading at clock-in and clock-out to confirm you're on site — it never tracks you between.
Do the checklist
While clocked in, the site's checklist is one tap from the Today screen. Tick tasks as you go — some ask for a quick photo as proof. It's how the office knows the job's done without ringing you.
Shifts and extra work
The Shifts tab shows your fortnight ahead. Shifts marked Open are up for grabs — tap Claim and the office approves it. Can't work a day? Add your unavailability so you're not rostered on.
Chat and notices
Every site has a group chat — broken gear, access problems, photos, it all goes there instead of texts nobody can find later. Notices from the office appear in the app; tap acknowledge so they know you've seen it.
No signal? No problem
Clock in anyway. The app saves the action with the real time and syncs automatically when you're back in coverage.
Common questions
What does “off-site” mean on a timesheet?
The GPS reading at clock-in was outside the site's geofence. It never blocks anyone from clocking in — it's just flagged so an admin can check. Big sites, underground car parks and weak GPS all cause honest flags; you can widen a site's geofence in Sites.
Can a cleaner work for two businesses on the platform?
Yes. One login can belong to multiple workspaces — they'll get a workspace chooser at login. Each business only ever sees its own data.
What happens when my trial ends?
Pick a plan on the Billing page and enter a card — takes a minute, prices are GST-inclusive. Your data is untouched either way.
How do I get my hours into payroll?
Time → set the date range → approve entries → Xero CSV. The file imports into Xero, or opens in Excel for any other payroll system.
Is my data safe?
Data is hosted in Sydney, isolated per business at the database level, and payments are handled by Stripe. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
